§ 2-2. Mayor pro-tempore, selection and compensation.

There shall be elected by the city council from one (1) of the elected members a mayor pro-tempore to serve in that capacity in the absence of the mayor. The salary of the mayor pro-tempore shall be sixteen thousand seven hundred twenty-five dollars ($16,725.00), payable in equal bi-weekly installments, and not be in addition to the compensation set forth in section 2-3. In addition thereto, and subject to state and federal regulations, the city shall provide a fuel allowance for a private automobile utilized in the discharge of the duties of the office.
