§ 9-16. Nuisance defined.

  • Every condition or activity in the city which is offensive or detrimental to the health, morals, comfort, safety, convenience, and welfare of the inhabitants of the city shall be deemed a nuisance, and the city council shall have the authority to determine the existence of a nuisance. Such activity shall include, but not be limited to: excessive and unreasonable noise, accumulation of trash, litter or refuse, unsafe structures, the presence of standing stagnant water, grass, weeds, rodents or other vermin, violations of any law, ordinance, building codes and zoning ordinances, or any other similar condition.
